A pomegranate tree bearing many pomegranates with the seeds fancifully exposed. It is surrounded by yellow roses, bluebells, and other pink and rose flowers, as well as blue and green leaves. A quail sits at the base of the tree, and another red and blue bird in its branches. There is a second background of brocade leaves. It is based on a silk-on-silk embroidery by the William Morris studio, used as the first panel of a folding screen. We also offer the second panel of the screen, Vine, and the third, Apple. (After 1896)
