Stitched by Cappie Evans on 36-count ivory linen stitched over 2
December 1, 2009 “I selected this pattern "Merry Old Santa Claus" because the face reminds me of my brother. He collects Santa Claus figures that he finds at craft fairs etc. He only chooses those where he has been able to meet the crafts person. My two passions are cross stitch and quilting. So -- when I completed the cross stitch which is on 18 count ivory linen I finished it with a hand quilted frame. The words Merry Christmas are quilted around the frame. The piece from start to completion took me a year and a half. I only stitch at night while watching videos. I love your patterns, only wish there were 72 hours or more in each day so I could complete more of them.”
