A fanciful depiction of two women with long waving golden hair as water serpents or mermaids. They are entwined against a background of billowing draperies patterned with swirls, flowers, and checks, and swirling water plants. A large fish swims past. The upper corners are not stitched; white fabric is suggested. (Art Nouveau, 1904-7)
