The Accolade (without background) - Edmund Blair-Leighton
Counted Cross Stitch Pattern
A medieval queen in a white gown embroidered with gold stands on a dais to knight a victorious warrior. He wears a red tunic bearing insignia of a black eagle and crescent over chain mail, and kneels on a leather cushion with his helmet set to the side. The background is not stitched, and the pattern is designed for ecru fabric. This is a portion of the full painting; see BLA001 for the full painting, or BLA001-D for a detail with background. This is the sequel to God Speed. (Pre-Raphaelite, 1901)
