Dear friends,
Thank you all so much for taking the time to visit Scarlet Quince. Many of you have
sent us fantastic compliments! We want you to know that we appreciate all the comments and suggestions
we receive, even though it just isn't possible to reply to each one. We do read them all and
consider your preferences and interests in planning for future development to the site and for
new cross stitch patterns. We do try to answer all the questions we receive, so if you have a
question,
We've added a lot of new patterns, so if you haven't visited in a while, check them out! We realize
that with all the images, browsing Scarlet Quince can be slow, so we've added options to browse the patterns
in different orders. You can look at the most recently added, which is a quick way to catch up on what's new.
And if you're looking for something not too big, try looking by size. Of course, if you want a big pattern,
you can just jump to the last page!
For our friends outside the US, we've added a link to a currency converter to the pattern page. All our
prices are in US dollars, so if you need to know the price in another currency, just click on the convert currency
link to get the price at the current live exchange rate.
to try converting the amount US $15.00. (If nothing happens, make sure you
have Javascript enabled.)
A Tip for Managing Blended Colors
Many of our patterns may use a color in a number of different blends. To make
this easy, always cut the 6-strand floss to the same length. Use your frame,
the arm of your chair, or something else handy that's a good length as a
gauge. Then, no matter what colors you need to blend, the single strands will
always be of matching lengths. After you've stitched with a new blend and are
changing colors, mark a new bobbin (or whatever you use to store your floss)
with the symbol of the blend and file it after the first color in the
blend.
