Hello stitching friends,
We have great news! We are making arrangements with another business to continue to offer our patterns after I retire! Starting in January, our patterns will be available from Paine Free Crafts, in printed form and as PDFs, and for the first time, as kits! (My apologies to those of you who have been stocking up ahead of my retirement.) We are still working out the details. I think floss labels will continue to be available, but possibly (probably?) not in printed form (only as PDFs). I am not selling the business, or the name. I expect that the Scarlet Quince web site will be up for some period, with the same content, but directing prospective buyers to the Paine Free Crafts web site. Patterns based on licensed art may or may not be available. We know that the Warren Kimble patterns will NOT be. Morgan Weistling and Molly Brett WILL be. The status of the rest (Grant Wood, Rudy Hurzlmeier, Thomas Hart Benton, Norman Rockwell, Gerald Murphy, and some of the Maxfield Parrish) depends on whether Paine Free Crafts is able to get their own licenses for the art. If you buy a pattern from Paine Free Crafts, you will get access to SQ Stitch (which will continue to be available).
Just a reminder, if you have bought print patterns, you can get PDF copies at no charge. It's a good idea to have a PDF on hand since pages do wear out with excessive handling. (If you bought an electronic copy, make sure you can find it. We'll send it again if need be.) If you didn't buy the pattern from us (e.g. an Amazon or eBay purchase), send a photo of the cover with your request. I haven't discussed continuing this policy with Paine Free Crafts, so I recommend you get your requests in by the end of the year.
Just because we love you, we're having a sale! Until July 4, everything is 15% off!
Stay well and keep stitching, | ||
