Before you ask, no, you didn't miss the "May" newsletter -- I decided to wait a couple of days and call this the June newsletter. And I do get some things done in a timely manner, I just can't think of one right now.

We are continuing to ship paper patterns during the virus situation, but we encourage you to consider ordering a PDF pattern instead, especially if you are outside the US. Due to so many flights being canceled, the "snail mail" is even snailier now (and very unpredictable). We're noticing a little more desperation than usual so we are making an effort to get PDF patterns out as quickly as possible.

If you do order a paper pattern (or have in the past), you can always request a PDF copy, any time, no charge. We regularly send PDFs to people who have lost their pattern booklet, had the dog eat it, lost their PDF, etc., so don't feel sheepish! If you'd like a PDF copy while you wait for a paper copy to arrive, just ask. (But be aware that email with PDFs attached tend to go into the junk or spam folder, so if it doesn't show up when you expected it, check there.)

When you print your PDF pattern, be sure to select "no scaling". Otherwise, it will come out with 1 inch margins instead of half inch, which is not a big difference, but it's enough to make you go "Wait -- what happened?"

You're entitled to use the SQ Stitch app, whether you bought a paper or electronic pattern, and whether you bought it from us or another retailer (it does have to be a Scarlet Quince pattern though). If we don't have a record of your purchase, we'll ask you to send us a picture of the pattern as proof of purchase, and then we'll get you set up with the app.
