Cross Stitch Patterns from Fine Art by Scarlet Quince

Scarlet Quince News
June 2011

Hello stitching friends,

We have a pattern award this month! A stitcher in Norway suggested Romeo and Juliet by Sir Frank Dicksee, shown below, and we've sent her a copy of the pattern. You can make suggestions too! Please send us the title and artist of the work, and if possible a picture or link to a picture. If you are the first to suggest a picture and we use it for a pattern, we'll send you a copy of the pattern. (We must warn you, though, that there is no guarantee that we will use your suggestion.)

Tips on gridding

A stitcher sent us tips on using water soluble marking pens to grid her fabric and mark areas that are the same symbol for easier stitching while traveling. These will be merged into the Tips pages ultimately, but for now they have been posted in Ramblings and you can read them there. If you have tips you'd like to share -- tricks that make stitching easier or more efficient, gadgets you can't live without -- please send them to us!

Coupon for 10% Off

We've posted a coupon on our Facebook page! It's good for 10% off online orders of $25 or more, now through June 25. Just enter the coupon code JUNE2011 when you order (there is a special field for coupon codes when you check out, below the payment information). Anyone can use this coupon, so tell your friends!
