Scarlet Quince has been on the net 13 years this month! It has been quite a journey and we couldn't have made it without you. Thank you!
We announced last month that we would soon be rolling out an improved payment processing flow. Unfortunately, we hit a snag just as we were about to release it. It all worked perfectly in the development environment ("sandbox") but it doesn't work the same way in the live environment.
In the future, when you place an order with us and you want to pay with a credit card, when you click the "Pay Now" button, you should be taken to a page where you can enter your credit card details. Instead, you will be taken to a PayPal login page that looks like this:
You can log into PayPal if you have an account, or click the button below that that says Pay with Debit or Credit Card. This will take you to the credit card page and you don't have to have a PayPal account. We need to make a few more tweaks and then we are going to release it, in the belief that despite this quirk (which PayPal says they are going to fix, though they don't say when) it will be an improvement overall. However, we will be looking for reports of problems and can go back to the old way if this isn't working well for our customers.
A couple of people recommended the Dritz tailor's marking set to us, and we got one to try. We've been using it to mark grid lines for a while, and we share our thoughts about it in this Ramblings post.
