We've just added forums to Scarlet Quince! We hope this will be fun and
helpful for you.
We've set up 4 forums in 2 general categories:
Support Forums
- Stitching - for questions and tips about stitching in general
- Scarlet Quince - questions and suggestions about our site or our products
Just For Fun
- Coffee Break - visit with other stitchers and talk about anything you
like
- Buy/Sell/Swap - here you can offer your finished work or old patterns for
sale or swap
If you have not used forums before, it's just a place where you can "post" a
message (like you might thumbtack a notice to a bulletin board). Others can
read your message and reply if they like.
Sometimes forums require you to
register before you can post, but we wanted to keep this easy so registration
is not required (except for the Buy/Sell/Swap forum, where some accountability
seemed desirable). If you DO register, you get some benefits like being able
to tell which posts are new, and the option to receive email when there's a new
post in a topic you want to follow. (Your email address is not displayed
publicly unless you want it to be.) You can also participate in our forum contest!
To help get things going with our forums, we're having a monthly
drawing for a pattern to all who post in that month. If you win, you'll
receive the pattern of your choice! The more you post, the better your chances
of winning.
If you need an idea for a subject, how about sharing your tips on
stitching in the Stitching forum? How do you organize your floss? Do you use a floss database? How
do you keep your place in your stitching? Where do you like to start and why?
Or post in the Coffee Break forum and tell us what you're currently working on
and how it's going. (You must register in the forums to be entered for the drawing, since
otherwise we
won't have a way to get in touch with you if you win. Forum registration is
separate from Scarlet Quince membership.)
Forums are located under the Solutions tab. Check them out!
