Hello stitching friends,
We have two pattern awards this month! Thomas Pinckney, Jr. - Edward Green Malbone was suggested many years ago by Gabriela Wolek, Germany, as a companion to Eliza Izard (Mrs. Thomas Pinckney, Jr.). We're so pleased that we have finally been able to reunite this fun couple! And Leah Imler suggested Christmas Animals - Molly Brett. Both ladies have been sent a copy of the pattern they suggested (and both are shown below).
We have updated SQ Stitch so that people's user names and email addresses are stored in the local database. This will eliminate a couple of problems -- one, that if you forgot your user name, there was no way to recover it except to ask me for it (which works, but is not instant turnaround). Also, since email addresses were not originally confirmed to be valid, working email addresses, it was possible to mistype your email when you created your user. Then if you forgot your password and tried to reset it, you would not get the necessary email. In addition, people sometimes mistype their email address when they back up their patterns, and don't get their backups. Going forward, the email will be validated when you create your user, but to get existing users caught up, you will see a one-time request to log in so we can record your user name and send you an email to validate your email address. The email you'll get contains a link that you should click on the device where you use SQ Stitch. (If you don't get the email, go to the Setup tab and click "Edit Account" to check/correct your email address.) If the link in the email doesn't show up as clickable, you will need to copy and paste it into your browser's address window. Replying to the email does not work. If you don't know how to copy and paste text, Google how to do it in your environment (it's different depending on whether you're using Windows, iOS, or Android, and whether you have a mouse or touch screen). This has been more of a hurdle for some people than I anticipated, and I apologize for unintentionally throwing a curve ball. Coming attractions: we will be making it possible to use SQ Stitch offline! (Currently, you need an internet connection when you start it.) This is a feature that many people have asked for. We don't have a release date yet, but look for this in the next couple of months.
We are open and shipping both print and electronic patterns, and answering phone calls/emails/texts/Facebook posts (and don't anticipate any break in service). Please observe health guidelines, and stay safe and healthy during this trying time.
