Hello stitching friends,

The first of April marks Scarlet Quince's fifth anniversary! During the last five years, we've made many, many changes and improvements to the web site and our patterns, often suggested by you, our members and customers. Thank you all for helping us grow - we couldn't have done it without you!

The Online Needlework Show is also coming up, April 18-23. Give your local needlework shop a call and ask if they're participating. Many shops like to invite customers in to look at the show and talk about what they'd like the shop to order. We'll see you there!

Floss Labels are Here!

We are now offering adhesive floss labels for each of our patterns. The label set includes one sticker for each solid color and each blend, with the symbols and color number(s). This makes it really quick and easy to set up your bobbins or floss organizers. Just attach the labels to your floss holders and you have a placeholder for each solid color or blend, which you can fill up when you come to it.

To order floss labels with a pattern, just check the "include floss labels" box on the pattern page before you add the pattern to your shopping cart. Read more about floss labels. You can also order labels for patterns you already have.

We have a pattern award to announce! Elizabeth Spillias, of Melbourne, Australia, received a copy of Albrecht Durer's Praying Hands (shown right) for being the first to suggest this picture as a pattern. Our version is in sepia tones on a white (unstitched) background.

We also want to call your attention to the many new pictures in our gallery! There is new work in progress on "The Lacemaker", "Christmas Rose", "Horse, Lascaux Caves", "Pinkie", and "Lady with Unicorn: Sense of Hearing". There are also completed pictures of Ponce's "Vase of Flowers", Monet's "Irises" (now framed), "A Young Hare", and "The Accolade"! Just keep scrolling down - these pictures are worth seeing!
