January 2016

Hello stitching friends,

Happy New Year! Hopefully by now you aren't still writing "2015"!

We have lots of new pictures in the gallery! Several are making their first-ever appearance there, so stop by and checkthem out.

Pattern Awards

We have two pattern awards this month! One is for a pattern we announced last month: Woman with a Parasol - Madame Monet and Her Son. This was the suggestion of Laurie Barnhardt, Canada. The other is Roseate Spoonbill, shown below. The pattern award goes to Norma Brendle, Ham Lake, Minnesota. By the way, pattern awards are sent as PDFs now, in the recipient's choice of print sizes, and the floss labels for the pattern are included.

Online Needlework Show

The online Needlework Show starts February 1. Yes, that's early! The show has a new format this year: it will be held in February, April, August, and October, running from the 1st to the 3rd each time. It is still a wholesale show, meaning that only registered retail outlets can purchase directly from the show. But it's a great way for stitchers as well as shops to see what's new, and if you see something you like, contact a shop to order it for you. Visit it here.

New patterns! Clink any picture for a closer look.
