March 23, 2015 [Yes, these pictures have been in limbo for a year and a half -- SQ] “I was using a floor stand with a small hoop but now managed to find a larger hoop that fits the whole design so that my work wont be damaged by the hoop as it grows. I have loved every minute of stitching, and cant wait for the end result. My aim is to have it finished by Christmas 2015, so lets watch this space. I have other pictures that you might find interesting. I took photographs right from the beginning so that the whole thing is documented... from the accumulation of the threads, the putting into numerical order in a specific bobbin box and then copying each page of the pattern and piecing it together (and taping it invisibly) so that I can fold it and turn to each section (even when it crossed the pages) and colour in the grid to mark where Ive stitched as I go along. I couldnt bear to think of colouring in the actual pattern and find it easier to work the piece in sections. Thank you once again for such fantastic and challenging patterns.”
