November 9, 2013 “After a little over 2 years of stitching I finally finished this project about a year ago and wanted to share the finished work with you. It came out beautifully. A lot of work and effort but well worth it. Since the entire fabric was stitched I lightly penciled 10x10 squares to easily keep track of stitches. Due to the large number of symbols -- both combined and single colors -- I found the best way to keep things easy was to tape the symbol and corresponding floss numbers(s) that I copied and cutout of the original pattern on individual bags. When I finished stitching a symbol I placed the remaining floss -- leaving it on the needle -- in the bag then easily came back to it later to stitch the same symbol reducing the time to rethread. I also kept additional floss for those colors in the bag so as not to have to weed through numerous bags or bobbins to find the correct floss.”
