Stitched by Suzanne Goolsby, Castle Rock, Colorado on 32-count linen
March 15, 2019 “With such a detailed and colorful background, the piece automatically--and necessarily-- falls into an English-style stitch pattern. So much so, in fact, that the dress and larger single-color sections require continuing the English stitching throughout. Using the (easier?) American stitches, especially on the linen, will cause the linen threads to roll together and produce visible horizontal lines in the finished tapestry.”
